Hey look at me! I’m still here!

2012 came in and I totally missed it. Well not really, my blog did. I haven’t posted anything here yet so I figured today was a good day to do that.

I’ve been busy with stuff, well writing mostly. I’ve taken it upon myself to start a novel. It’s a zombie novel and that’s all I’m offering about it. I thought that I would have issues writing a book, as it’s much longer an endeavour than I’ve ever attempted and I’m super distractible. So far it’s been going well. I’m up to seven chapters and just under 15000 words. *(I’m not sure if that’s where a book is supposed to be, but that’s where mine is, so I”m happy about it.)

I’ve also got an idea for a biography of someone I think is kinda interesting. I’m working out the planning part of that right now. I haven’t written anything for it, but I assume that something factual would be easier to write than a fiction story… Maybe not, but we’ll see.

I’ve also been working on a lot of short stories and I finally have some stuff that is worth submitting. Thanks to others that have taken the time to read what I send you. You guys rock.

So yeah, that’s where the writing is. What else…? Well, I’ve had to un-train my thumbs from putting two spaces after a period… (That would be something they taught me in high school in typing class doesn’t apply to now.) I’ve also moved into a new place, again just for the time being as I wait for my apartment to be ready. (That’s three places in three months, come on Feb. 3rd!!!) Oh and I quit smoking. (That’s more of a me thing, not so interesting to others, but I thought I’d mention it.)

So that’s about it so far for 2012. I’ll promise I’ll try to post more on the blog as I know I totally let things slide around the holidays, but isn’t it always like that?
